Animal Gun is the 6th studio album of The Trousers and it was published by Music Fashion Records in Hungary.

All songs were composed by and all lyrics were written vocalist and guitarist Zoltán Kőváry except from "My Kind of Business" and "All over Shakin' Down", which were co-written by Zoltán's brother, singer-songwriter and bandleader Peter, who tragically passed in 2022 due to a incurable disease. The album is dedicated to his memory.

"Animal Gun" was recorded in Budapest, Hungary, at Artist Factory Studios where the former albums were also recorded. The process began in the end of 2019 but due to covid pandemia there were several long breaks and finally it was finished in the summer of 2022. Sound engineer and producer Zoltán Cs. Szabó directed teh process, who was the drummer of The Trousers between 2006 and 2017. There are two guests artists on the LP: Rita Csányi vocalist and Zsolt Derecskei keyboard player; they both featured on the band's previous releases. Album art was created by fine artist Richard Vass, while band photos are by Norbert Pandur-Balogh.

The album was released on the 9th of November on cd in Hungary and worldwide digitally, including Spotify, Youtube, Apple Music, Deezer, etc. Ever since the material has been reviewed in many countries' rock sites, and rated from 7/10 to 10/10, all emphasized that it is a great rock album and the band's best so far.
